How to avoid red irritated neck & ingrown hairs when shaving?
I've tried everything (it seems like it).
Different razors ranging from one use disposable, 1-5 blades, reusable, straight razor (working on that one now)
All kinds of creams & lathers, glycerin soap, aerosol cans, lather pucks, conditioner, regular soap.
Tonnes of aftershave products, sensitive skin, alcohol, liquids, moisturizer, ice cubes, cold towels, clean towels.
Always prep face properly, hot & clean.
Where am I going wrong?! No matter what I do, avoid touching the area after applying aftershave product, clean clothes & towels - I always end up with red irritated neck skin that turns into ingrown hairs. What should I try to fix this? It only happens on my neck, and sometimes on the upper lip/mustache area if I shave it against the grain.
then don't shave against the grain, I would advise you buy TENDSKIN its a ingrown hair preventer. Or you can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and look for products.
