Why so fluctuation in Blood glucose?
I checked my blood glucose just after waking in the morning it was 203. Then after 40-45 minutes I again checked and the reading was 135. I did no exercise or eat anything within this 40-45 minutes. I need to know why there is so fluctuation between the two readings? I have Medicose Optium Xceed Glucometer.
Normal Results-Blood glucose:
Before meals: 90 to 130 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL)
After meals: Less than 180 mg/dL.
Blood glucose is controlled by exercise, diet and drugs. It is seen that you have higher blood glucose level in the morning. The body will control blood sugar by producing insulin, by converting glucose into glycogen or by excreting glucose along with urine. If the glucose level is higher than 180 gm, then glucose will be eliminated along with urine resulting in lower level of blood glucose.
