Ammonium Nitrate from Cold/Ice Pack Dangerous?
An athlete that I coach accidently tore open a cold pack/Ice Pack. White powder which we now know as Ammonium Nitrate got on her skin and clothes. Should we call the doctor? What about her clothing (uniform), is it damaged in anyway? Thanks
She didn't feel any burning sensation so that was good. Does this ammonium nitrate have any bleaching effect or any sort of damaging effect?
as long as she didn't feel any kind of burning sensation you should be ok. just wash her uniform by it self and that should survive too. flush her skin with water immediately for several minutes just to be safe.
