Battery Case Keychain
My 1994 Ford Explorer locks itself, what do I do?

It's a simple situation, but I'm not sure what to do. For about five days now, when I turned my 94 Explorer XLT with a security system off, within a minute or so, the vehicle locks itself and I have to use the remote entry device to disable it. I don't know why it's going haywire, but I don't always know where the remote is because I can't connect it to my keychain. I've been told it's because my battery is going bad. Could that be the case? If not, is there a fuse that I can take out to disable it? Thanks!

your best bet on what to do would be to take it to you local ford dealership and ask them about it but if the truck does have automatic locks on it there should be a fuse under the drivers side dash that is marked door locks or something similar to that all you would have to do it remove that fuse but removing that fuse will diable the door locks completly and you will NOT be able to lock them with the remote anymore but being its a 94 explore all you should have to do is open the door and the lock should come up as you pull the handle
