Rash on back of legs..? **NO SILLY/IMMATURE ANSWERS!**?
Hi guys
Basically, I started at college yesterday and we have these chairs that are padded similarly to your basic computer chair - foam and some form of fabric covering.
Since I started there, I have come out in this really tender rash all over the top of the backs of my legs and the bottom of my bum, and it is really uncomfortable.
I was wondering if you thought this might be an allergic reaction to the fabric or if you think it might have something to do with the fact that Im sat there all day, and obv other peoples dead skin/sweat etc along with my own is getting built up into the chair and possibly my leggings might be absorbing it?
I dont know if this is relative, but over the past 2 weeks they have taken down the wooden ceiling tiles in our classrooms as they have been rendered unstable...?
Does anyone know anything I could do to soothe it because it is sooo painful when Im sat down (aka most of the time)

could be the chair fabric. could be a combination of your leggings (if they are a synthetic material) and the prolonged sitting is causing sweat and irritation. It's probably not other people's sweat and icky stuff getting absorbed into your skin.
Is there a nurse at your college - most public colleges have a nurses office. Go and see what they say. Any topical cream for rash will help. Look in the baby aisles of the drug store if you want something that is not harsh to your skin. Anything for diaper rash (seriously!) will help.
